Scott Formica
Mr. Formica is a research associate at Social Science Research & Evaluation, Inc., a research firm located in Burlington, Massachusetts. He attended the University of New Hampshire as an undergraduate and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. He has over 10 years of experience in designing, administering, and managing multiple research projects. Current projects include evaluations of two training and technical assistance centers (National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention; National Suicide Prevention Resource Center) funded by the Center for Mental Health Services within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Massachusetts Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) being implemented by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services. Mr. Formica has spoken at numerous federal conferences and has facilitated groups of grantees on evaluation-related topics such as basic research designs, developing logic models, assessing program fidelity, and using data for sustainability.
